Hi friends,

Thressa and Amelia are super busy getting things ready for Recess, so you’re getting a much lousier version from Zac. I have been busy tasting coffee, drinking wine, and looking at cool cans of various canned drinks, but let me get to the real news:

We’re thrilled to share that Recess Cafe officially opens this weekend on Saturday, September 6th!!!!!!

You can reserve your play slots ahead of time here!

Everyone at the cafe has been hard at work training, setting up, and getting in finishing touches. Last week, we did a soft launch to test things out with some friends and family, and we learned a lot (including that we needed way more sound panels ).

The play structure, especially the slide, has already been a huge hit with Frankie and Ira, and we can’t wait for your kids to try it out too!

We’ve also been adding some special touches: Zac’s dad built us a custom laptop bar, and the Ann Arbor Art Center helped us bring more beautiful art onto our walls.

There’s still plenty to do before the big day, but we couldn’t be more excited, or more grateful for everyone’s support.
